Mom's Demand Action for Gun Sense in America
WHO WE ARE
We are a grassroots volunteer group of American moms, families and citizens that formed the day after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, working for common sense gun policies that will protect our families and communities. We have grown into a leading force for gun violence prevention, with chapters in all 50 states and a powerful grassroots network of 3 million members that has successfully effected change at the local, state and national level.
WHAT WE ARE DOING
In the 2017 Oregon legislative session, we plan to be in legislators’ districts and in their offices in Salem to press for passage of several gun sense measures. To do that, we are building our constituent base in key legislative districts, and asking for active support of these bills. We want our legislators to hear the same message from constituents and community leaders in “surround sound” – that common sense gun bills save lives, and if they want to earn our vote, we expect their support! We have a package of gun sense bills going before the Oregon legislature in 2017:
